Advance Booking or Current Booking?
When you book, TTD asks you to choose between two options. They work differently, so it is worth deciding before you start.
Advance Booking
- Book for a future date. The quota generally opens about 3 months before the darshan date, along with the other TTD quotas — check our quota release dates page for the timings.
- Children below 10 years do not need a ticket.
- You can add a room to the booking if there are two or more persons.
- This is the reliable route. If you know your travel dates, book this way.
Current Booking
- Book for the same day. The daily quota is small and sells out within minutes, so it is a chance rather than a plan.
- Children below 12 years do not need a ticket.
- The full details, including timings, the daily quota and where to report, are in our same-day guide.
During Vaikunta Ekadashi the route and the cost are different from the normal arrangement, so read our Vaikunta Ekadashi darshan guide before you plan a December trip.
