Vaikunta Ekadashi at Tirumala 2026

Shuddha Ekadashi in Dhanurmasa is called Vaikunta Ekadashi (20th Dec, 2026). At Tirumala, in the early hours of this day, the Vaikunta Dwaram (door) will be opened and will be closed after 10 days (29th Dec, 2026).

Ekadashi Tithi Timings :

• Ekadashi Tithi Begins – 10:09 PM on Dec 19, 2026
• Ekadashi Tithi Ends – 08:14 PM on Dec 20, 2026

Vaikunta Dwaram will not be opened in the whole year except during this auspicious period. So there will be huge rush observed on these days due to its importance. It is believed that those who will have Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam during Vaikunta Ekadashi at Tirumala will get Moksham. Vaikunta Dwaram is believed to be ‘Gate of Heaven’.

Eight Lakh Devotees will be provided Vaikunta Dwara Darshan during the 10 days.

During Vaikunta Ekadashi at Tirumala, there will be procession for the well adorned Sri Malayappa Swami along with Sri Devi and Bhu Devi in the golden chariot between 9 AM to 11 AM, followed by Asthanam in Srivari temple.

• On Vaikunta Dwadashi day, Chakra Snanam will be performed in Swamy Pushkarini between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM.

Expected Guidelines for Devotees as per last year

• Vaikunta Dwara Darshan: 20-12-2026 to 29-12-2026.​
• December 20,21 & 22 : Vaikunta Dwara Darshan facility only for devotees who will be obtained tokens through e-DIP.​
• Devotees who have obtained tokens must arrive at the darshan entry points in Tirumala only on the dates and at the specified times (time slot) allocated to them.​
• December 23 – 29: All the devotees without Vaikunta Dwara Darshan tokens will be allowed through Sarva Darshan queue line.​
• Devotees are requested to plan their visit to Tirumala based on the information updates provided by TTD from time to time through SVBC, social media, and other publicity channels.​
• During these ten days, except for protocol dignitaries, VIP break darshans, special darshans including parents with infants, senior citizens, differently-abled persons, NRIs, defence personnel, and Arjitha Sevas are cancelled.​
• SSD Token Counters and SRIVANI VIP Break Darshan Offline Counters will be closed for those 10 days.
• No recommendation letters will be accepted.​
• Devotees are requested to follow the guidelines, maintain restraint and have a hassle-free Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam and co-operate with TTD.

Tirumala Accommodation During Vaikunta Dwara Darshan

• Tirumala Accommodation is not issued in online for these 10 days.
• You have to Visit CRO office in Tirumala to register for rooms and get it in offline on arrival.
• You have to take rooms in person. Not possible to book over phone or in any website. Don’t approach any middle man.
• There are free lockers and open halls to stay even if you didnt get room.
• Those who had got darshan tickets booked in advance, they only can register for rooms.
• Minimum 2 persons are required to get a room. Max 6 members can stay in a room
• Room will be allotted for only 24 hours. Staying beyond that is not possible due to scarcity of rooms in Tirumala. Plan to stay in Tirupati in any private hotels. There are lot of private hotels in tirupati.

Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple and surroundings will be decorated with Beautiful Flowers and Lights. This will be eye feast for everyone and it is very good to watch those most beautiful flowers, best lighting’s and pleasant climate at Tirumala on occassion of Vaikunta Ekadashi.  Happy Vaikunta Ekadashi …
