To have Vaishno Devi Darshan you need to have a Yatra Parchi (Parchi is nothing but Ticket for Darshan ). It is now possible to actually plan your Yatra and even make the necessary bookings online well in advance.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, in its efforts to increase facilities for devotees visiting the Holy Shrine has started a process of Online Yatra Registraton. Pilgrims can now do all kind of bookings online including Yatra Registration slip, Room Bookings , pooja bookings , Helicopter Bookings.
Parchi is valid for full day to cross Banganga check post. Parchi will be stamped at Banganga check point, without Parchi pilgrim wont be allowed beyond Banganga Check post, hence its very important to have Parchi if you want to have Darshan.
Online yatra parchi is free of cost.
Offline yatra parchi is also available at Yatra Registration Counter near bus stand Katra and Jammu. Counter will be available 24 hours and Parchi will be issued free of cost.
Yatra parchi is not required for the child below 3 years of age.
Devotees need to pass through the tunnel to have darshan. You can have darshan of 3 Pindies. These three heads in a natural rock form are known as the Holy Pindies and are worshipped as the revelation of the Mother Goddess. The entire rock body is immersed in water, and a marble platform has now been constructed all around. The main Darshans remain to be of the three heads called the Holy Pindies. The uniqueness of the Holy Pindies is that although they emanate from one single rock form, each one is distinctly different from the other two in colour and texture.
