On the auspicious occasion of Sravana Pournami, Sravana Upakarma will be observed in Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple.

Celebration Details

• The processional deity of Sri Krishna Swamy will be taken in a celestial procession to the temple of Sri Bhuvarahaswamy.
• A traditional Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed using milk, curd, honey, turmeric, sandalwood paste and coconut water.
• The deity will be adorned with a new Yajnopaveetam, followed by Asthanam (royal court ceremony).
• Sri Krishna Swamy then returns to the Srivari Temple amidst Vedic chants and Govinda Namam, blessing devotees along the way.
• Parupattedhar Sri Himanthagiri, temple priests and staff will participate in this.
