Karthika Parva Deepotsavam In Tirumala

  • TTD will celebrate the Karthika Parva Deepotsava in a grand manner at the Tirumala Srivari Temple. This festival of lights is held on the full moon day of the Kartika month, after the evening rituals and offerings are completed.
  • During this occasion, in the evening, lamps made with ghee wicks are lit and carried in a procession with umbrellas and musical instruments. The deity is worshipped in the Anand Nilayam with an offering of lights.
  • After that, lamps are successively lit at various sacred places, including the main sanctum, Kulashekhara Padi, Ramulavari Meda, Dwara Palakulu, Garudalvar, Varadaraja Swami’s shrine, Vakula Mata, Golden Well, Kalyana Mandapam, Sabha Ara, Tallapaka Ara, Bhāshyakārulu’s shrine, Yoga Narasimha Swami, Vishwaksena, Chandanam Ara, Parimalam Ara, Silver Entrance, Flag Post, Bali Peetham, Kshetrapalakas’ shrine, Tirumalaraya Mandapam, Flower Well, Ranganayaka Mandapam, Main Entrance, Bedi Anjaneya Swami, Sri Varaha Swami temple, and Swami Pushkarini.
