Srivari Mettu Tokens – Only at Bhudevi Complex
If you plan to climb to Tirumala by the Srivari Mettu footpath, this is the counter you need. Srivari Mettu tokens, which many pilgrims know as Divya Darshan tokens, are not issued at Srinivasam or Vishnu Nivasam, so going there first only costs you time. Like regular SSD tokens, they are for next-day darshan.
These are about 2,000 extra tokens a day, on top of the roughly 10,000 general SSD tokens, so it is worth being early in the queue.
A Srivari Mettu token comes with conditions. You have to walk up by the Srivari Mettu footpath on your darshan date, and your token is scanned midway along the path. That scan is only allowed on the darshan date, so you cannot walk up the previous day and use the token later. If the token is not scanned on the way, it is not valid and you will not be allowed into the SSD queue line at Tirumala.
Keep in mind that the Srivari Mettu footpath starts about 17 km from Bhudevi Complex, so you will need transport after collecting your token. TTD runs a free bus to Srivari Mettu that passes through Alipiri, but it starts from the Railway Station and usually fills up there, so it can be hard to get a seat at Alipiri. SSD Tokens at Bhudevi Complex
Bhudevi Complex is one of three SSD token counters in Tirupati. The other two are Srinivasam Complex, opposite the Central Bus Stand, and Vishnu Nivasam, opposite the Railway Station. Pick whichever is easiest to reach from where you are staying.
About 10,000 general SSD tokens are issued each day in total. Together with the 2,000 extra Srivari Mettu tokens, that makes around 12,000 SSD tokens a day. Once the day’s quota is gone, the counters stop issuing, so reaching the queue early matters.

Rules for SSD Tokens
- Next-day darshan: a token is valid for darshan on the day after it is issued, not the same day. Our SSD page has a worked example if you are unsure which day to queue.
- Aadhaar: everyone aged 12 and above needs their original Aadhaar card. Children below 12 do not need a token.
- Whole family in the queue: one token is issued per person, and everyone must be present in the line.
- Getting up the hill: with a general SSD token you can walk up by Alipiri or by Srivari Mettu, or travel by road. There is no token scanning on the way, and you go straight into the SSD queue line at Tirumala.
If you take Srivari Mettu SSD tokens, then you have to compulsorily walk via Srivari Mettu on your darshan date and get your token scanned at the mid of the pathway. Then only token will be valid. Else you have to go in general queue line without any token. - No online booking: SSD tokens are only issued at the counters.
- Wednesdays: no SSD tokens are issued on Wednesdays for Thursday darshan.
- Festival days: SSD tokens can be cancelled on some festival days, for example during Vaikunta Ekadashi. The SSD token counters page lists current closures.
