Every day during the grand Brahmotsavam processions in Tirumala, Harathi is offered to Sri Venkateswara to protect Him from evil sights and invoke divine blessings. These sacred rituals unfold across the Mada streets with deep devotion and tradition.
♦ Harathi will be given to the Lord at the starting point in the Vahana Mandapam.
♦ In front of the main temple (Mahadwaram).
♦ Then a Harati at the south east corner of the temple (Sarkar Harati).
♦ Harati at Sri Tirumala Nambi Temple known as ‘Tirumala Nambi Harati’.
♦ Prabandha Thodakkam Harathi (The point where Tirumala nambi temple situated).
♦ Harati at South west corner (Sarkar Harati).
♦ Sri Ananthalwan Harathi.
♦ Chinnajeeyar Mutt Harathi at Chinnajeeyar Mutt.
♦ North west Mysore Harathi at Sri Lakshmi Varaha Swami Temple.
♦ Sri Ahobila Mutt Temple Harathi.
♦ Archaka Bhavan Harathi near Varaha Swami temple.
♦ Annamaiah Harathi at Varahaswami temple.
♦ Sri Varahaswami Harathi in front of Sri Varahaswami temple.
♦ Harati at North east corner (Sarkar Harati).
♦ Sri Parakalamutt Temple Harathi at north east corner.
Before returning to Vahana Mandapam, the Lord receives Kumba Harathi and Mangala Harathi after the Chuttumelam (completion drumbeat).
During every utsavam there will be ‘Nakshatra Harathi’ and ‘Mangala Harathi’ near Swami Pushkarini in the evening.
