Tirumala ghat road is maintained by TTD . To ensure safety of the pilgrims, ghat road is operated only during specific timings every day. Ghat road distance is 18 KMs which is under security surveillance. Do check this page regularly for tirumala ghat road latest news.

Below are the Tirumala Ghat Road entry timings and tirumala ghat road closing time during which vehicles will be allowed on Tirumala Ghat Road.

Vehicle Type Allowed Timings
Four wheelers / Buses / Other vehicles 3 AM –  11:59 PM
Two Wheelers 6 AM – 6 PM

Rules To be Followed on Tirumala Ghat Road:

  • Two Wheeler riders (both driver and pillion rider) should wear helmet.
  • Driver should possess driving license. Learner’s license is not allowed.
  • vehicle should not have L board.
  • Should wear seat belt.
  • Don’t Stop vehicles by the side of road apart from designated parking places.
  • Avoid Overtaking during bends or curves.
  • Specified seating capacity should be strictly followed.
  • Banned items  like non-veg, fireworks, alcohol , tobacco products , carrying weapons are not allowed to be carried in vehicles.
  • Minimum travel time should not be less than 40 minutes. At the Ghat road entry point, every vehicle has to register their entry time. The travel time should be one hour or above. Otherwise, vehicles are not allowed into Tirumala.

      • Yes, Tempo Traveller is allowed.
  2. Is Private Bus Allowed in Tirumala Ghat Road?
      • Private buses are not allowed to Tirumala. You can park the private bus in the Alipiri Parking area and get into APSRTC Bus.
  3. Are Taxis from outside states allowed to Tirumala?
      • Yes, allowed.
  4. Can we go to Tirumala At Night?
      • Vehicles will be allowed only as per the timings mentioned above.
  5. Is Tirumala Ghat road one way?
      • Yes, its a one way. There are 2 separate roads to go up hill and to come down hill.
  6. Is private vehicles allowed in Tirumala?
      • Yes, but only till a seating capacity of 18 or less.
