Hanuman Jayanti At Tirumala
Every year, on 10th day of the bright half of the Vaishakha month, Tirumala celebrates Hanuman Jayanti in a grand way. This year, on May 22, TTD will conduct the festival with great devotion.
Special prayers will be held for
Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy, located opposite the main Tirumala temple, and for
Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy, situated at the seventh mile on the pedestrian path.
The Hanuman Jayanti celebrations also take place at
Japali Theertham in Tirumala every year. As part of the tradition, TTD will offer silk clothes to Sri Japali Hanuman.
Additionally, special pooja ceremonies for the tall idol of Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy at the seventh mile on the first ghat road will be conducted at 3 PM on the same day. For the convenience of devotees and locals, TTD is providing free transport from Tirumala to the seventh mile and back, from 11 AM to 6 PM.
