Anantalwar is a great devotee who offered floral service to the Lord. He was the closest disciple of Bhagavad Ramanuja. Ordained by his preceptor, he dedicated himself to the service of offering flowers and garlands to the Lord. He was buried on this holy land itself. He was devoted more to the preceptor than the Lord Himself.
We can see the garden raised by Anantalwar on the way of Maha Pradakshinam to the southwest of the main temple and his cemetery in the middle of the garden. It is surprising to note that Malayappa Swami visits the garden twice a year to bless Anantalwar even now. Devotees can be blessed by visiting the garden where many wonderful encounters took place between the devotee and the Lord.
