Special Sahasra Kalashabishekam to Sri Bhoga Srinivasa Murty

• A special Sahasrakalasabhishekam will be held for Sri Bhoga Srinivasamurthy in Tirumala Srivari Temple on 28th May. This program is being organized in Srivari temple for 17 years.
• On this occasion, between 6 am and 8.30 am, the Archakaswamy will perform Sahasrakalasabhishekam privately to Banguravakili Chenta Bhoga Srinivasamurthy in Srivari Temple. On this utsavam all the arjita services in Srivari temple will continue as usual.
• The Pallava Queen Samavai Perundevi gifted an 18-inch tall silver Bhoga Srinivasamurthy idol to the Tirumala Srivari Temple in the month of Jeshtha in 614 AD. To mark this every year Sahasrakalasabhishekam is performed to Sri Bhoga Srinivasamurthy in the temple.
• This inscription regarding Pallavarani Kanuka is found on the wall below the statue of Vimana Venkateswara in the first prakaram of the temple. According to Agama, Sri Bhoga Srinivasamurthy, one of the panchaberas of the Srivari temple, is also known as Kauthukamurthy and also known as Sri Manavalaperumal.
