Rahu Ketu Pooja

Rahu Ketu Puja is the famous ritual observed at Sri Kalahasthi. Puja is performed from 6Am to 6 Pm, for better results perform during Rahu kaalam. So, one must plan accordingly to attend the pooja.

Sri Kalahasthi temple will be crowded during the Puja time as pilgrims will come from different parts of the world to perform the ritual.

Significance

  • Rahu Ketu Pooja is performed to nullify the effect of Rahu Dosha, Ketu Dosha,  Sarpa Dosha, Kala Sarpa Dosha, Naga Dosha.
  • This Pooja is ideal remedy for those who are facing problems in getting married, conceiving children, family issues and health issues.
  • Those who are facing issues with Job, career and education are also advised to get this Pooja done to nullify any effects.
  • Good results are observed if you do the Puja twice in a year, once during Dakshinayanam and once during Uttarayanam.

Rahu Ketu Pooja is performed in temple at various places. Price of the ticket varies on the location at which the pooja is performed. Below are the different prices of the tickets. Pooja procedure is common for all types of tickets.

Rahu Ketu Kala Sarpa Nivarana Pooja with Aseervachanam Rs. 1500 Performed inside the temple premises – Addala Mandapam
Rahu Ketu Kala Sarpa Nivarana Pooja with Special Aseervachanam Rs. 2500 VIP Ticket – Performed inside the temple premises – Kalyanotsava mandapam
  • 1+1 Adult and a kid is allowed with each ticket.
  • Ticket price includes the pooja saamaghri (items) as well. Devotees no need to purchase any pooja items for this purpose.
  • Devasthanam will give Prasadam and Vastra Bahumanam after the Pooja.

Rahu Ketu Pooja Saamagri

Pooja Saamagri will be provided along with the ticket. Devotees no need to purchase it separately.

  • Two Metal idols of Rahu and Ketu
  • Laddu – Vada Prasadam
  • Flowers
  • Sindoor and Haldi

Do’s:

  • Take Head bath before performing the Pooja.
  • Consult any astrologer to get the suggestion on when to perform the pooja according to your Janma Nakshatram.

Dont’s:

  • Don’t apply oil to your head.
  • Pregnant women shouldn’t perform the Pooja.
  • Don’t visit any of your friends or relatives houses after this pooja is performed. Go directly to your home.

  • Daily will do the pooja Or only on particular days?
    After completing the pooja will i go to tirupathi for darsanam?

    • RAJU kala will be done only during particular Time or will be done through out the day on Monday . Please clarify times of Pooja on Monday.

      • Rahu Ketu Pooja will be done only during Rahu Kalam . On Monday Rahu Kalam Falls between 7.30 AM - 9 AM. Please be available at temple by 6.30 AM to buy ticket and participate in seva.

    • Pooja will be there daily. It's suggestible to go to your home after Pooja and not visit any other temples. Finish tirumala darshan first and then perform this pooja

  • Is it ok if we do the pooja in early morning. We planned to do tomorrow early morning that is Saturday… Since it is not raagu kalam, is it ok…

  • Sir we are planning to do rahu ketu pooja on Monday so when can we take ticket for pooja..n is it through online we shld take rahu ketu pooja or we shld personally cum there n take sir

    • Online booking is not available. Tickets need to be purchased on arrival. Tickets will be issued at 6:30am on Monday in temple premises itself.

  • Any particular time need to report in temple for Pooja purpose or directly we can come and do Pooja pls tell

    • Based on the day you visit, reporting time varies. Pooja will be performed during Rahu kaalam, so be available at temple 1 HR before the Rahu kaalam time on that day.

  • SIR/MAM, I AM FROM TIRUPUR TAMILNADU. AFETR WE COMPLETE RAGU KETHU POOJA, CAN I STAY IN HOTEL?? BECAUSE WE BOOK TICKET ON NEXT DAY ONLY FROM POOJA. WE ARE NOT GOING TO ANY OTHER TEMPLE OR RELATIVE HOUSE.WE ONLY PLANNED FOR RAGU KETHU POOJA ONLY.
