Jagatpita Brahma Mandir is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Brahma. Brahma Temple is situated at Pushkar in the State of Rajasthan close to Pushkar lake, India. In India there are very few temples which are dedicated to Lord Brahma. Brahma Temple in Rajasthan is the most prominent one among them. The structure of the temple dates back to 14th Century. However, it is believed to be 2000 years old. Jagatpita Brahma Mandir is made of marble and stone slabs.
Pushkar is often described as the only Brahma Mandir in the World. Tough it is described as the only Brahma Temple but, now in present times there are few other temples dedicated to Lord Brahma. The temples sanctum sanctorum holds the idol of four-headed Brahma and Gayatri (Goddess of Milk). On Kartika Poornima or Pournima a special festival is dedicated to Lord Brahma.
The temple was built with stone slabs and molten lead was used to join the slabs together. The entry from the gate leads to mandapa (outdoor hall) and then to the sanctum sanctorum (Garbhagriha). The central murti of Brahma was consecrated by Adi Shankaracharya in 718 AD. The central image is called ‘chaumurti’ (four-faced idol). The idol is in the form where Brahma is seated in a cross legged posture in the aspect of creating the Universe (Vishvakarma form).

By Air- the closest airport to Pushkar is Sanganer airport in Jaipur. This airport is well connected to major cities of India like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai etc. Jaipur airport is 146 km away from Pushkar.
By Train- the nearest railway station to Pushkar is Ajmer railway station. Ajmer railway station is approximately 15 km away from Pushkar.
