Adhyayanotsavas at Tirumala

Adhyayanotsavas

There will be Divya Prabandha Parayana (Recital of Divya Prabandha) especially in the Adhyayanotsavas which commence 11 days before Vaikuntha Ekadashi and continue for 25 days in Tirumala.

The first 11 days are known as Pagalpattu, the next 10 days are called Rapattu, 22nd day is Kanninun Siruttambu, 23rd day is Ramanuja Nutrandadi, 24th day  is Sri Varahaswamy Sattumora and concludes with Tanniramudu Utsavam on 25th day.

On the last day, there will be Tannir amuda utsava as a mark of Srinivasa drinking water in the guise of a hunter addressing Tirumala Nambi as grandfather. Bhagavad Ramanuja established the tradition of reciting Divya Prabandhas not only in these utsavas but in many others.
